Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) has solidified its place as a leading institution, making history as the first Malaysian university to enter the prestigious 201-250 band in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025.

This leap of 100 spots from its previous 301-350 ranking cements UTP’s position as Malaysia’s number one university and the top private university in ASEAN.

This achievement showcases UTP’s commitment to academic excellence, innovative research, and industry collaboration, which have propelled the university’s steady rise in global standings since 2017.
