This year’s NOP WAMM campaign, held throughout September for World Heart Month, saw a record 30,622 participants—a 4% increase from 2023.

The event kicked off with a physical 3.5km walk at Taman Tasik Metropolitan, Kepong, where 2,000 individuals came together to walk for heart health, fostering community and awareness.

Juan Aranols, CEO of Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, highlighted the campaign’s success: “Our aim this year was to step up our efforts and rally even more Malaysians across the nation to join us on this journey toward a heart-healthy nation.”

Beyond the impressive mileage, the NOP WAMM campaign served as a platform for educating Malaysians about maintaining heart health through regular exercise, balanced diets, and cholesterol management.

NESTLÉ OMEGA PLUS® encourages everyone to integrate two glasses of the heart-healthy drink into their daily routines to help maintain healthier cholesterol levels.

The campaign also included a substantial donation: RM100,000 was donated to Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (YJM) and the Institut Jantung Negara Foundation (IJNF) to support heart disease research, education, and patient programs.

Yeoh She Shiang, Business Executive Officer of Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad’s Nutrition Business Unit, commented, “We are excited to see Malaysians take steps towards better heart health with NOP WAMM, proving that every step counts in making a meaningful difference.”

Participants who achieved impressive results were recognised with prizes, including five grand prize winners who received smartphones worth RM4,650 each, and 30 consolation winners who were awarded Amazfit Bip 5 Unity smartwatches valued at RM300 each.

While this year’s campaign may be over, NESTLÉ OMEGA PLUS® continues to inspire Malaysians to make sustainable lifestyle changes for heart health. Simple habits like regular exercise, healthy eating, and managing cholesterol can make all the difference.
