The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has launched the IP360 Metaverse Platform, a revolutionary initiative aimed at redefining how global audiences engage with Malaysia’s cultural heritage.

This innovative platform, developed in collaboration with Ammobox Studios Sdn Bhd, positions Malaysia as a leader in digital innovation and creative storytelling.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and Pixel Streaming, the platform offers stunning visuals and seamless access via any web browser, eliminating the need for high-performance hardware.

It is currently in its Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage but already promises to captivate audiences with immersive 3D digital experiences.

A new era of digital engagement

The IP360 Metaverse Platform features two core experiences that highlight Malaysia’s cultural and creative assets:

1. Virtual Theme Park: Dive into interactive activities inspired by popular Malaysian intellectual properties (IPs) such as Ejen Ali and Didi and Friends. Games like “Find the Spy” and activities at the “Training Centre” redefine digital entertainment. Notably, Didi and Friends is set to premiere in Q1 2025.
2. Digital Museum: Explore Malaysia’s cultural treasures through interactive artifact exhibits, treasure hunts, local language lessons, and holographic traditional dance performances.

These experiences aim to bring Malaysia’s rich heritage to a global audience while setting a new standard for metaverse-based engagement.
