Marking its 20th anniversary, Yelaoshr hosted a grand gala dinner at the HGH Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Themed “Crafting with Dedication, Honoring Our Roots, and Embracing the Future,” the event drew over 380 members from 70 centers nationwide. Former senator Datuk Seri Dr. Zurainah Musa graced the evening, which celebrated Yelaoshr’s impactful journey since its humble beginnings in 2005.
Founder Carol Yap Yee Yee reflected on the organization’s origins, stating, “I started because I saw many children struggling with traditional teaching methods, losing interest in learning and feeling defeated. I wanted to reignite their curiosity and confidence.” From a single table to a network of 70 centers, Yelaoshr has become a beacon of educational transformation, focusing on empowering lifelong learners.
Tech-Driven Future
In a forward-looking move, Yelaoshr unveiled its ambitious plans to integrate cutting-edge technology into education. The highlight of the celebration was the announcement of the YELAOSHR CLASSONE SuperApp, made possible through a strategic partnership with Techies App Technologies Sdn. Bhd. This partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking Yelaoshr’s transition into the digital era.
“This partnership aligns with our mission to revolutionize learning and empower educators and students,” said Co-Founder and CEO David Yap Wing Fai. The SuperApp will leverage AI, AR, Big Data, and IoT to provide personalized learning experiences. It aims to analyze each child’s progress and personality to create tailored learning plans, supporting global educational goals.
Datuk Seri Dr. Zurainah Musa praised the initiative, stating, “Yelaoshr is taking bold steps to take advantage of state-of-the-art digital solutions, including the integration of AI into its super app.”

The gala was not only a celebration of the past but also an acknowledgment of the present contributions of Yelaoshr’s team. Various awards were presented to recognize excellence and dedication, with RM150,000 worth of prizes and bonuses distributed.
The awards included:

Adding to its accolades, Yelaoshr’s flagship “From Educator to Edupreneur” program was selected for the prestigious HundrED Global Collection 2025 in Finland. This recognition highlights Yelaoshr’s global impact in transforming education.
“HundrED identifies the most impactful educational innovations worldwide. Being part of this collection is a proud moment for Yelaoshr and for Malaysia as a whole,” shared Zurainah.
