Ultraman fans in Malaysia were treated to an unforgettable experience as Ultraman The Ultra Tour officially launched at Sunway Pyramid today. The much-anticipated event, a collaboration between Tsuburaya Fields Entertainment International Pte. Ltd. (TFEI), One Universal Production Sdn. Bhd. (OUP), and Sunway Malls, brought together generations of fans to celebrate the legacy of the iconic Ultra Heroes with a range of immersive activities.

The grand launch was officiated by Dato’ Kamil Othman, with the presence of representatives from various government agencies and the Embassy of Japan, underscoring the cultural and entertainment ties between Malaysia and Japan.

Strengthening Cultural Collaborations

Dato’ Kamil Othman emphasized the significance of the event in promoting international intellectual properties and fostering global partnerships. “The significance of this collaboration extends to the global promotion of intellectual properties. As we celebrate Ultraman’s legacy here in Malaysia, we are reminded of the importance of fostering international collaborations to enhance the reach and impact of creative content,” said Kamil.

He further noted how Ultraman, as a global pop culture phenomenon, highlights Malaysia’s potential as a destination for international creative partnerships.

Adding to the excitement, the event featured a special appearance by Yuki Totsuka, the Japanese actor who portrays Yuma Hize/Ultraman Arc, offering fans an exclusive meet-and-greet session.

Record-Breaking Gathering of Ultraman Fans

One of the event’s biggest highlights was a historic achievement for ASEAN Records, as One Universal Production Sdn. Bhd. successfully gathered 270 Ultraman fans in Ultraman-inspired attire, marking the largest gathering of its kind in Malaysia.

Speaking about the milestone, Alvin Lee, CEO of One Universal Production Sdn. Bhd. A Nationwide Ultra Tour Across Sunway Malls

Following its debut at Sunway Pyramid, the Ultra Tour will travel across seven Sunway malls, bringing fans a host of thrilling experiences, including Ultra Heroes meet-and-greet sessions, an Ultraman-themed Inflatable Playland, the Gigabash Game Demo, and exclusive Ultraman merchandise.

Beyond entertainment, the event also embodied the spirit of Ramadan by supporting underprivileged children. Two orphanages—Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Pengasih Warga Prihatin and Persatuan Kebajikan Pusat Jagaan Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras—received charitable contributions aimed at providing essential resources, meals, and festive necessities for the upcoming holy month.

Representatives from the orphanages expressed heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the kindness of the event organizers and partners.
