XyperReal Stage sets new benchmark for digital content

3Particle launches XyperReal Stage, Malaysia’s premier virtual production hub, to boost digital innovation, talent development, and industry growth.

Local creative tech firm 3Particle has launched XyperReal Stage, a rebranded and expanded version of its pioneering XR Stage Malaysia, the country’s first extended reality (XR) studio originally established in 2021. Located in central Malaysia, the new 1,000-square-foot facility is designed to be a national hub for cutting-edge virtual production, offering hands-on training, technology demonstrations, and cross-industry collaboration.

More than a physical upgrade, XyperReal Stage positions itself as Malaysia’s premier virtual production research and innovation centre. The space integrates world-class LED displays, advanced camera tracking, and real-time virtual tools to support the needs of film, television, broadcast media, live events, immersive experiences, and more.

“We created XyperReal Stage as a space where creative minds can come together to explore the latest technology, learn hands-on, and bring innovative ideas to life,” said Ts. Carl Loo, Founder and Owner of 3Particle. “This facility is a step forward for Malaysia’s creative ecosystem, and a platform to help our local talent shine on the global stage.”

Global collaboration, local solutions

Through strategic alliances with global tech leaders like Brompton Technology, PIXREAL, Mo-Sys, and Macroblock, XyperReal Stage now offers full-stack solutions that go far beyond content creation. These partnerships enable 3Particle to design and build customised virtual studios and immersive centres—right down to micro-level tech, such as IC chip drivers—making it one of the most technically comprehensive offerings in Southeast Asia.

This technological prowess allows 3Particle to compete at an international level while developing locally relevant applications. With the stage powered by PIXREAL LED panels, Brompton’s renowned LED processing, and Mo-Sys camera tracking systems, the facility provides a world-class environment for both production and experimentation.

Workforce development and industry support

As a Malaysia Digital (MD) status company, 3Particle has partnered with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to support national goals of digital upskilling and economic transformation. This includes initiatives aimed at preparing students, creative professionals, and businesses for the evolving landscape of digital content and virtual production.

MDEC CEO Anuar Fariz Fadzil said, “The launch of XyperReal Stage by 3Particle, a Malaysia Digital (MD) status company, reflects the kind of industry leadership and innovation that will define Malaysia’s future digital economy. At MDEC, we are committed to accelerating the growth of high-value digital industries that create real impact.”

He added, “Facilities like XyperReal Stage are not just production spaces—they are platforms for talent development, cross-industry collaboration, and technological experimentation that can unlock new economic opportunities for Malaysia.”

In line with this vision, XyperReal Stage is also collaborating with EFXCO Academy’s Hussin Khan, a Hollywood VFX veteran and certified Unreal Engine instructor, to develop specialised training programmes. These will equip local talents with in-demand skills in real-time rendering, digital storytelling, and virtual set design.

Expanding horizons across Asia

The versatility of XyperReal Stage allows it to cater to a wide spectrum of industries—from transforming production pipelines in film and TV to enhancing live events, broadcast studios, brand activations, and even retail environments. The facility’s modular capabilities and high-tech infrastructure make it a dynamic platform for businesses seeking to innovate.

From virtual concerts to immersive brand campaigns and experiential retail installations, the potential use cases are vast. 3Particle’s plans to expand across Asia reflect a growing regional appetite for immersive digital experiences and turnkey virtual production solutions.

The grand opening of XyperReal Stage featured expert talks, panel discussions, and a lively fireside chat on “Emerging Trends in the Virtual Production Landscape Across Asia.” Attendees included global tech partners, creatives, and industry leaders, all eager to explore the future of storytelling and content innovation in Malaysia and beyond.

With its expanded capabilities, international collaborations, and strong commitment to talent development, XyperReal Stage is poised to make Malaysia a serious contender in the global digital content arena—ushering in a new era for Southeast Asia’s creative technology landscape.
