Bigo Live launches nationwide singing contest via livestream

Bigo Live, the leading global livestreaming platform, has officially launched ‘BIGO The Four! Battle for Glory’, a nationwide vocal competition set to uncover Malaysia’s most promising singing talents. The three-month contest is open to all Malaysia-based participants, with registration running from 19 May to 16 June 2025.

Aimed at blending live entertainment with fierce competition, the weekly format will see contestants battle it out in real-time livestreams. Each week, four top singers — dubbed ‘The Four’ — must defend their spots from incoming ‘Challengers’ striving to knock them off the leaderboard. The showdown continues until the Grand Finale on 13 August 2025.

Participants will be mentored by renowned vocal coaches Sarah Ismail and Pengiran Khairul Qayyum, who will guide them through weekly rounds, offering expert advice to enhance their stagecraft and vocal prowess.

Real-time engagement

“Bigo Live offers a platform for everyone to immerse in real-time engagement and innovative entertainment experiences within a safe and secure digital environment,” said a Bigo Live Malaysia spokesperson. “We aim to spotlight Malaysia’s incredible vocal talent while fostering community and creativity through livestreaming with ‘BIGO The Four! Battle for Glory’.”

Every livestreamed battle promises suspense, charisma, and vocal brilliance, with audiences worldwide tuning in to cheer on their favourites. Fans and contestants alike stand to win a variety of rewards, including BIGO Beans, exclusive merchandise, trophies, and more. The ultimate champion will walk away with RM5,000 in cash and official Bigo Live merchandise.

“Our goal is to be a global stage for creators to express their creativity, talent and passions, reaching new fans beyond local shores. We invite all creators and users from Malaysia to take part in this unique talent show!” the spokesperson added.

Multiple ways to enter the competition

The competition is open to Bigo Live users, hosts, and the general public in Malaysia. Aspiring contestants can enter via several routes:

1. Audition at a Livehouse event
2. Receive a nomination from an Agency or Family
3. Self-nominate on the Bigo Live website
4. Submit a video via social media using the hashtags #The4Battle and #bigolivemy

Once selected, participants will compete in weekly contests throughout July, followed by the Redemption & Popular Stage on 6 August and the Grand Finale on 13 August 2025.
