Rockwills’ marks 30th anniversary with blood donation drive

In a combined effort to promote public health and community engagement, Rockwills will host a public blood donation drive on Saturday, 23 August 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Hotel Armada, Petaling Jaya. The event is part of the company’s 30th-anniversary celebrations and is supported by the Pusat Darah Negara.

The upcoming blood donation drive aims to support the nation’s hospitals in maintaining a stable blood reserve, especially during periods of high demand. With the ongoing need for safe and sufficient blood supplies, the drive encourages healthy and eligible individuals to contribute to this life-saving initiative. The six-hour event provides a safe, convenient, and accessible platform for members of the public to perform an act of generosity that could make a difference in emergency care, surgery, and treatment for patients with chronic illnesses.

Public health talks and screenings

From 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Columbia Asia Hospital will present a session on “Balanced Nutrition for a Healthier You,” focusing on everyday dietary practices that promote long-term health. Later in the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Qualitas Health will conduct a talk on “Metabolic Syndrome,” shedding light on this increasingly common condition and ways to prevent or manage it.
