LintraMax (M) Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian technology company specializing in plantation management solutions, has announced major upgrades to its flagship cloud computing platform, Quarto. The latest version introduces a suite of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools designed to help oil palm plantations and mill operators improve productivity, decision-making, and operational intelligence.
Among the key additions is the AI Assistant, an intelligent agent powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) that allows users to interact directly with their operational data in plain language. For example, managers can use a chatbot to ask questions about crop yield performance or production costs and receive instant, data-backed answers, complete with charts and reports.

This new feature also allows plantation managers and owners to generate an Executive Insights report to identify operational patterns, inefficiencies, opportunities, and other crucial details to understand the performance of their business.
Smart Tools for Field Efficiency
In the field, Quarto now offers an FFB recognition feature, which uses a mobile phone camera to automatically count harvested Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB). The system will soon also be able to assess FFB crop quality, which is a critical factor in determining oil yield and profitability.
Khor Kheng Khoon, Founder of LintraMax, said, “Our objective is to make technology serve the plantation industry, not the other way around. With new features added to Quarto, we are moving beyond digitalization into true operational intelligence. Crucial to the current business climate, these tools are built to help our users make better, faster, and more confident decisions that directly impact productivity and sustainability.”

Complementing the AI capabilities is Quarto’s integration of Internet of Things (IoT) sensors at palm oil mills. These sensors enable 24-hour monitoring of machinery, automatically alerting engineers to irregular operating behavior or performance issues. This reduces the need for manual inspection while enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
Khor added that LintraMax’s AI development team continues to explore new ways to apply machine learning and data science to plantation management. “We’re focused on creating practical tools that simplify the complex and help our users stay ahead in an increasingly competitive and data-driven environment,” he said.
Launched in 2016, Quarto is the market leader in cloud plantation management systems in Southeast Asia, trusted by plantation companies to digitalize and optimize their operations. Today, Quarto is used at plantations in Malaysia and Indonesia.
LintraMax will be showcasing the latest Quarto at Hall 5 during PIPOC 2025 from 18 to 20 November at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.
