The Exchange TRX Deepavali programme runs until 9 November in Kuala Lumpur. It has live dance shows, food deals and a decor theme built on the peacock and the lotus.
The mall calls it the Divinity of Deepavali. Our look at six malls covers other festive displays.
Here is what is on, what the deals cost and how to get there.
What is on at TRX until 9 November

First, the dates. The campaign started on 16 October. The decor uses the peacock and the sacred lotus as its themes.
Dance shows run at Urban Node on the ground floor, between Muji and Uniqlo. They take place every weekend and on the public holiday.
One listing gives show times of 2pm and 5pm, according to a lifestyle site. However, the mall’s own pages do not list times, so check on the day.
Next, the styles. They include Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Peacock Dance and Oyilattam.
Also, shoppers who spend RM1,500 across up to two receipts get a Divinity Deepavali glass jar set. It is while stocks last.
The listings differ on whether both receipts must be from the same day. So ask at the counter before you shop.
Also, the Exchange TRX Deepavali season brings a Zuhair Murad x ALDO collection. It is exclusive to the ALDO store in the mall.
The food and shopping deals

First, GODIVA has Diwali hampers from RM199, a festive guide says. Mix-and-match sweet treats start at RM99.
Next, GODIVA gives RM5 off soft serves from Monday to Thursday. You need to show a brown-coloured item to claim it.
Café Colombo has a Sri Lankan fish head curry for RM42, which serves two. Its kottu is RM34, and the island tapioca is RM14.
For bigger groups, it also lists an Arugam Bay prawn curry at RM95. The southern crab curry is RM268.
Also, Sensatia Botanicals gives RM10 off a RM80 skincare spend on one receipt. Terms apply.
The Soloists Hair Salon offers 10% off for two items, 15% for three and 20% for five. Those deals cover selected hair products and last until 9 November.
Then there is K Fry, which lists fried chicken dishes and a watermelon fruit tea. The guide gives no prices for them.
Still, the festive guide is branded content from the mall. Prices and terms may change.
How to get there

First, hours. The mall opens daily from 10am to 10pm. The Dining Terrace on Level 2 stays open until 1am.
Also, it sits in the Tun Razak Exchange district, and our earlier story has more on its stores.
Then the MRT, which is the easiest way. Get off at Tun Razak Exchange station and take the pedestrian link to the concourse level.
For drivers, though, parking on weekends and public holidays costs RM4 for the first hour, the mall’s guide says. Each extra hour is RM4, up to RM40 a day.
Meanwhile, Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November, so expect crowds on the weekend before it.

In short, go early, use the MRT and read the terms on each deal first.
