Jimmy Leow Beng HockPenang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng launched the Penang Hepatitis Day at Queensbay Mall on Sunday organized by The Malaysian Liver Foundation.
The organization is the only national voluntary, non-profit charity dedicated mainly to public education, training of doctors and research into all aspects of liver disease especially Hepatitis and liver cancer which are endemic in this region.
Since its launching in 1997, the MLF has been very active in organizing various activities like the Hepatitis Day in every state to create public awareness on disease.
