More than 2,000 residents of Taman Angkasa here obtained the certificate of fitness for their flats yesterday, ending a 20-year wait, following the initiatives taken by Federal Territories and Urban Well-being Minister Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin.
Raja Nong Chik said the CF issuance had now been completed for the 28 blocks under their respective Neighbourhood Watch areas.
“We are now working on processing the strata titles for the house owners for the establishment of a joint management committee which will be entirely handled by the residents,” he said.
He was speaking when opening the “Love Your Neighbour Programme” in the area yesterday.
Raja Nong Chik said the strata title process could be completed before the end of 2012.
“With the establishment of the joint management committee in the respective areas, it is hoped that it could solve problems faced by the residents including in terms of maintenance, security and cleanliness,” he said.
