BB Airways to ply Kuala Lumpur – Kathmandu route

KUALA LUMPUR – For a start, BB Airways will be plying the Kuala Lumpur – Kathmandu route, four times a week.

Nepalese start-up carrier BB Airways has been awarded route licenses to serve seven international markets, and will starts its operations from September 13, 2012.

BB Airways is backed by TBI Group, a Japanese investment company led by Nepalese expatriates and will provide links from the capital Kathmandu to Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi.

Mero Sky Group’s marketing manager, Ramesh Bhandari said that their target market are the Nepalese living broad and tourists arriving and leaving Malaysia.

For a start, BB Airways will be plying the Kuala Lumpur – Kathmandu route, four times a week.

The airline is one of a number of new ventures in Nepal that are aiming to develop a reliable domestic and international network to boost economic and tourist trade into the country.
