Maybank Global CR Day 2012

The Maybank Global CR Day saw some 50 Maybank employees at Centrl Park Bandar Utama on Saturday September 22, 2012.

The early morning drizzle did not deter residents of Bandar Utama from participating in the Maybank CR’s Recycling event.

Some 50 Maybank staff made early morning rounds around Central Park and 1Utama Shopping Centre to collect garbage and recyclables in the area.

Rebel Boot Camp showed their support to the Maybank initiative by giving the staff a warm-up exercise session before they embarked on their clean-up Cenral Park mission.

The Global CR Day 2012 themed ‘Making meaningful difference in true Maybank spirit,’ is aimed at building ties with local community via the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

Maybank staff clad in bright Yellow Maybank t-shirts, white gloves and black plastic bags seen picking up litter from in and around Central Park were in high spirits and left the whole area spotless once they were done.

Representatives of Ozanam Home, the recipients of Maybank’s CSR efforts were present at the event to receive a donation. In return Ozanam Home presented Maybank with a hand-drawn card produced by the children from the home.
