AEON Mall KL Midtown opens 5 Nov with free bags and a car prize

AEON Mall KL Midtown opens on Thursday 5 November at Jalan Dutamas 2 in Kuala Lumpur. A four-day opening celebration runs until Sunday 8 November.

The first 1,000 customers get a free Sumikko Gurashi paper bag, the mall’s own page says. A contest also lists a Mercedes-Benz among its prizes.

It opens days after 118 Mall welcomed its first shoppers. Here is what is on, what the promotions need and how to get there.

What is on at AEON Mall KL Midtown

First, the shows. The programme calls it the Opening Week Celebration, and it runs from Thursday to Sunday.

The line-up lists Taiko drumming and Japanese dance performances. Also, Sumikko Gurashi characters will hold meet-and-greets.

KLP48 performs live on 5 and 6 November. The other items are listed for the week without separate dates.

Next, the festive items include Bollywood dance, henna workshops, a Peacock Parade and a Little Diwali Fashion Show.

A Light Up Ceremony is also listed. Other malls are dressing up for Deepavali too, with kolam and diyas.

However, the page does not list show times. The contact number is still marked to be confirmed.

So check the mall’s Facebook, Instagram or TikTok pages for show times before you go.

Free bags, the car contest and spend rules

First, the bag. The first 1,000 customers get a Sumikko Gurashi paper bag and an Opening Privilege Pack booklet.

However, the listing runs from 5 to 10 November. It does not say if the 1,000 is for opening day only.

Next, the Drive Your Dream contest. A spend of RM300 on up to two same-day receipts earns entries.

Non-members get one entry and members get two. Members who pay with selected AEON cards or AEON Wallet get three.

The contest runs from 5 November to 11 February 2027. Prizes include a Mercedes-Benz, a TV, smartphones and tablets.

Also, a passport game runs from 5 to 12 November. Collect a stamp book at the Information Counter and gather eight stamps from tenants.

Then redeem a Kawaii Magnet. Smaller gifts need set spends, and terms apply.

A Sakura Bloom keychain, for example, needs RM100 on food and drinks for AEON cardholders or Wallet users. Others need RM200, across three same-day receipts.

Stores, hours and getting there

First, the address. The mall is at No. 7, Jalan Dutamas 2, in Dutamas.

Next, the stores. The directory lists Uniqlo, Sephora, Starbucks, Levi’s and Komehyo.

Krispy Kreme, ZUS Signature, Baskin Robbins and L’Occitane are also on it. So far, the directory shows tenants only up to Level 3.

Also, hours. The mall opens from 10am to 10pm from Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of public holidays it closes at 11pm.

Then the location. AEON Mall KL Midtown is part of KL Metropolis and has a net lettable area of about 367,000 sq ft.

AEON said earlier that it also has a 1.5-acre rooftop linear park. Drivers can use the SPRINT Highway, DUKE, NKVE or the Penchala Link.

However, the planned MRT3 station is not yet running, and parking rates were not on the mall’s page.

In short, AEON Mall KL Midtown opens on Thursday. Check the terms on each promotion before you spend.
