118 Mall at Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur opens on Sunday 1 November, SAYS reported on 23 October. It cites the mall’s official website.
The mall had been due to open in August. It now plans to start with over 300 stores across seven floors.
Here is what is confirmed, what is inside, and how to get there.
118 Mall opening date and what changed

The date comes from the mall’s official website, according to SAYS. Opening hours are not stated in the reports we read.
The Star reported in May that the mall was set for an August opening. The developer is PNB Merdeka Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Berhad.
However, The Star’s August report already referred to a November opening. That means the shift was public by early August.
No source we read gives an official reason for the delay. A local guide site says tenant fit-outs continued, but that is its own wording.
The mall sits in the Merdeka 118 precinct, which also has a four-acre linear park called Merdeka Boulevard.
Likewise, no opening-day discounts or giveaways have been confirmed. Check the mall’s website and social media nearer the day.
Stores, food and event spaces inside

The mall has seven floors and over 300 stores, SAYS and The Star say. Over 70% of the retail space was already taken as of those reports.
The Malaysian Artisan District covers 80,000 sq ft on Level 3. It centres on the Makanizm Food Hall, which covers 40,000 sq ft.
A guide site names local brands in the artisan district, such as Batik Boutique, Bayu Somerset, Banglo 289 and Cookiecrumbs.
Meanwhile, The Atmosphere is a 20,000 sq ft event space on Level 4. It sits under a glass dome and suits fashion shows and festivals.
Named tenants include Skechers, Decathlon, Coach, Asics, Village Grocer and SOGO118. Food and drink names include ZUS Coffee and Dolly Dim Sum.
In addition, over 200 retail partners joined a get-together at Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, The Star’s August report.
Moreover, TheSmartLocal calls SOGO118 the biggest anchor tenant, in a refreshed, youth-focused format. A guide site calls Village Grocer an anchor.
How to get to the 118 Mall

The mall connects to Merdeka MRT station on the Kajang Line, TheSmartLocal says. An escalator leads to the Lower Ground Floor.
Plaza Rakyat station on the LRT Ampang Line is nearby. The Maharajalela monorail station is about three minutes on foot, a guide site says.
Because opening-day crowds are hard to predict, public transport may be the easier option.
For drivers, the Belfield Tunnel off Jalan Syed Putra leads directly to Basement 4. Valet and e-hailing drop-off points are on the Jalan Hang Jebat side.
The Merdeka Textile Museum is due to open at the same time. Details for the separate View at 118 observation deck, at 510 to 568 metres, are not yet announced.
Overall, 118 Mall expects up to 22 million visitors in its first year, its head of retail Sue Wang said. For more on the tower, see our report on Anker’s charging display at Merdeka 118.
