The Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry announced its approval of a RM10,000 allocation for Sekolah
Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Tun Fuad’s environment programmes.
Its minister, Masidi Manjun, who is in charge of education, said he was impressed with the school’s efforts to preserve the environment.
“I hope this allocation will elevate the school’s name in environment preservation and make Sabah proud,” he said at the closing ceremony of the school’s Sustainable Earth Program today.
He reminded students to avoid pointing fingers at others over cleanliness issue, saying maintaining cleanliness was everyone’s responsibility.
Masidi also officiated at the ground-breaking ceremony for the school’s recycling hut.
