Blue sky over Klang Valley
Yesterday, 9th Oct 2011 was a day of blue skies over the Klang Valley, a rare occurrence these days. A check with the Department of Environment website revealed that the Air Pollutant Index (API) for the day was between 38 – 51 with visibility as far as the eyes can see.
However it was not so one month ago, when it was reported that the API was 89 to 92, due to a tripling of hotspots count to 381 hotspots in Sumatra. Visibility was bad.
