Day 6 of the 300km Green Walk takes a quantum leap

LANCHANG – Day 6 of the 300km Green Walk from Kuantan to Parliament in Kuala Lumpur saw a quantum leap in the number of participants from the 1st day group of 70 to more than 500 on this Mentakab to Lanchang leg of the journey. [VIDEO]

Day 6 of the 300km Green Walk from Kuantan to Parliament in Kuala Lumpur saw a quantum leap in the number of  participants, from the 1st day group of 70 to more than 500 on this Mentakab to Lanchang leg of the journey.

Concerned citizens from all over Malaysia converged at Mentakab in the morning of November the 18th as early as 7.30 am to participate in the walk.

The walk to Lanchang took an average of 7 hours for most particpants.  Walking under the intense heat of the afternoon sun they reach Kg Rantau Panjang, Lanchang at around 2.30pm, where at least one hundred of them would staying the night before continuing with the Green Walk the next day to Karak enroute to Bentong.

Pak Jabit from Kg Rantau Panjang has offered his home for the Green Walk particpants to stay the night.
