Georgetown disappears under haze

A recent spate of haze that has been showing up in Penang horizons is showing no signs of dissipating. Instead, the haze seems to be getting thicker by the day.

Citizen journalist Jimmy Leow found out that the haze has now made Georgetown disappear from view while looking from a hilltop in Paya Terubong.

If the haze continues to worse, related authorities will need to provide an hourly air quality index in order to measure the level of air pollution that is happening in Penang.

Those with breathing problems might have health problems if they travel outdoors under the current haze.

This is not the first time Penang is experiencing such haze, as a similar situation occurred late last year.
