K. Paramguru, 28 and M. Muthu @ Muhammad Yasin Abdullah, 37, who were believed to have been knocked down by a car (believed to be a Toyota Lexus) at 2am, died of serious head injuries at the spot.

Seberang Perai Tengah police chief ACP Azman Abd Lah when contacted said according to a witness, the two had stopped at a traffic light when a car ploughed into them.

“The victims were on their way home in Taman Inderawasih before the fatal accident. The witness said the driver of the car did not stop but instead sped off from the scene,” he said.

Azman said their bodies was later sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital forpost-mortem. Those with information or who witnessed the incident are urged to contactInsp Azwan Kamaruddin at 04-5301977 or the nearest police station.
