‘Jejak Terer’ cycles for charity to raise funds for childrens’ homes

Travel show regulars, Mior Luqman Hakim @ Myo Oh Chentaku and Zahir Zainuddin will take on the challenge of cycling from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi on their bicycles without any cash on them, apart from their bikes, mobile phones and limited food supply in the upcoming original travelogue show, ‘Jejak Terer’.

The programme will air over a period of five days with five live sessions daily broadcasted on Malaysia’s online lifestyle channel hurr.tv starting 19 August 2017. Throughout their journey, the boys will be sharing their experience on the road, as they rely on their own wits, resourcefulness and the generosity of fellow Malaysians for food and shelter in order to survive the challenge.

The programme’s main sponsor MYE.G. Services Berhad has pledged RM10,000 for every 100km completed, and the total sum raised at the end of the show will be donated to five children’s homes, namely Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim Alkhairiyah, Rumah Amal Cahaya Kasih Bestari, Rumah Anak Yatim & Hidayah Al-Hijrah, Rumah Kasih Nurul Hasanah and Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim At-Taqwa.

Channel Director of hurr.tv Datin Elaine Daly said,” ‘Jejak Terer’ is in itself a unique social experiment to showcase the real side of fellow Malaysians, from our hosts going through this physical challenge, to those they meet along the way, all captured in real time. It is an opportunity to generate acts of kindness, and at the same time, raise funds for a good cause. Viewers can also play their part in donating any amount during the show to benefit the selected children’s homes, and our main sponsor MyEG will match the amount donated, ringgit for ringgit.”
