Unrepresented factory worker fined for indecent exposure

A factory worker, Ahmad Hairul Nizam Hussin,38, was charged under section 509 of the Penal Code for indecent exposure. He committed the crime on a 41-year-old female teacher two years ago.

Magistrate Mazana Sinin fined the accused RM1,500 or three-months jail in default after he pleaded guilty to committing the offence in a flat in Taman Pelangi Indah at around 6pm on October 8, 2009. The maximum sentence for the charge is five years or a fine.

Deputy public prosecutor, Chua Shyue Chien, prosecuted the case while the accused was unrepresented.
