10,600 still at flood relief centres in Johor

Up to 910 flood evacuees returned to their homes overnight in Johor, leaving 10,666 people at relief centres as at 8 am today.

The Johor government portal, www.johordt.gov.my, reported that the remaining evacuees were at 51 relief centres in four districts, with 6,173 of them in Batu Pahat, 2,165 in Muar, 2,020 in Ledang and 308 in Segamat.

Jalan Pogoh Tekam Section 1-Section 3 (from Chodan to Tekam) in Segamat remains closed to all vehicles as a one-kilometre stretch is under a metre of floodwaters.

In Muar, the stretch of Jalan Bukit Kepong from Km 60 to 61 is flooded to a depth of 0.35 metre.
