Police today took statements from the staff of a welfare home in Section 18 here, in connection with the death of a disabled teenager after he was believed to have been assaulted last Saturday.

Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said the statements taken were to help trace the suspects in the incident.

The teenager, said to have been staying at the welfare home since only five month ago, died from serious head injuries.

He was found unconscious at the home before he was rushed to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre where he was confirmed to have died about 11.30 yesterday.
