Penang International Kids Storytelling Festival

 

The 2nd Penang International Kids Storytelling Festival (PINKS) was held on Nov 19, 2011 at the Straits Quay, Penang. The event was organised by Preschool Education Committee and supported by the Penang state government.  The occasion was graced by the presence of the Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Dato’ Seri Utama Hajah Majimor binti Shariff, D.U.P.N.
The objectives of PINKS is to promote literacy, creativity and intellectual development, better understanding among people of different cultures through the sharing of their stories.
It was an entertaining and delighting programme where kids (as well as adults) get to hear stories by International professional storytellers from UK, Australia, India, Indonesia, Canada , Singapore, Thailand as well as our home grown storytellers from Malaysia.
