No coal power plant for Sabah – hopefully

About 600 people attended a public forum on Energy Option for Sabah recently held in Kota Kinabalu organised by Green Surf together with other concerned NGOs.

Attendees were members of NGOs, academicians, energy experts, civil servants and students alike.

The state’s energy authority sent their officer, Abd Nasir Abd Wahab to reperesent them, while the NGOs were represented by Professor Daniel M Kammen, Dr Rahimatsah Amat, Adrian Lasimbang and Wong Tack

In a show of hands, over 90% of the attendees were against the idea of building the power plant.
