April 28, 2012 is a historical moment for many Johoreans.

Some 2000 people gathered at the Dataran MBJB for the Bersih 3.0 Sit In rally.

Supporters came from four landmarked meeting points namely, from the abandoned Lot 1 Waterfront City, Kompleks Jabatan Kehakiman Syariah Negara, Jalan Sungai Chat and Kompleks MAWAR and started moving towards Dataran MBJB at 1.50 pm.

It was indeed quite a sight to see large crowd moving along orderly and peacefully.

The leaders and steering committee members were on hand to guide and lead them through the peaceful sit-down rally.

The national anthem was sung twice and rallying calls for a clean electoral roll were heard throughout the rally.

Some supporters whom CJMY interviewed said, ‘the people were dissatisfied with the way the country was governed and they demand for change.’

The peaceful sit down demonstration started at 2.00 and ended just after 4.00 pm.

Police and MBJB enforcement personnel were on hand to ensure that the rally progress smoothly.

About 30 observers and legal assistants representing the Johor Bar were also present to monitor the situation.

All went well and the atmosphere took on a carnival mood towards the end.
