Student survives four-storey fall

A Form Three student survived a fall from the top floor of a four-storey teacher’s quarters in Tajar, on Wednesday.

Mohd Azhari Mat Saad, 15, who fell off the building while helping his friend to catch a pigeon, is now being treated at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital.

He was injured in head, left shoulder and broke his right leg. His mother, Mahani Mohd Saad, 40, said she came to know about the incident after being informed by her friend at about 3.30pm.

She said her husband rushed to the scene and learnt that their son had already been sent to the Sultanah Bahiyah hospital.

“I am thankful that he was only injured,” she told reporters when met at the hospital today. Meanwhile, Mohd Azhari, who was still traumatised by the incident, could not could not recall how it happened.
