Fifty-one people from 11 families affected by floods in Jasin have been relocated to relief centres until 5pm today.
Melaka National Security Council assistant secretary Aziz Sulaiman said residents of Kampung Parit Lampung and Kampung Tanjung Labuh in Tehel, as well as from Kampung Parit Penghulu Benteng in Sungai Rambai were moved following two days of heavy rain which caused water to rise 0.5 metre.
They were sent to two flood relief centres situated in Sekolah Kebangsaan Tehel and Sekolah Kebangsaan Parit Penghulu, he said when contacted here today.
