A joint statement by CyberSecurity Malaysia and MOSTI issued here today said the championship was held on Nov 15, at the annual Hacker Halted Asia Pacific
Conference in Kuala Lumpur.

The competition was a series of ethical hacking games comprising both offensive and defensive security challenges, and was organised by the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants, a global organisation incorporated in New Mexico that certifies individuals in cyber security and e-commerce.

The Global CyberLympics aims to discover gifted hackers and cyber-defenders, raise awareness of ethics in information security as well as foster friendships
and create cohesiveness among information security professionals.
