VijayakoneA total of 2240 people received free computers at the Majlis Penyampaian Komputer 1 Malaysia from Youth and Sports deputy minister and MP for Muar Razali Ibrahim at a two-day event which was held in Muar.
Speaking to the media, Razali said that although one of the reasons for the alleged decline in support for Government initiative such as this, is the news published on the internet by some quarters.
The Government continues to encourage the use of internet to the extent of giving away free computers.
The rakyat should not just believe blindly all that is posted but should make an effort to independently seek answers before they form their conclusions, he added.
He hoped that the 2240 individuals who qualified to receive the 1M computers under this programme will put it to effective use.
