The police have detained two more people in connection with an acid attack on a supermarket salesman in Jalan Raja Laut
early this month.

The suspects were picked up here and in Melaka yesterday. Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department chief Ku Chin Wah said the duo were remanded until Friday to facilitate investigations into the incident at Wisma Bunga Raya on Aug 8.

He said this brought to three, the number of suspects picked up. The other suspect, believed to be a friend of the victim, was nabbed last Saturday.

Ku was speaking to reporters after a walkabout at the Ramadan bazaar in Taman Tun Dr Ismail yesterday.

On Aug 8, the victim, in his 20s, was in a car when a man opened its door and splashed him with acid, causing the face to be badly scalded.
