Sabah State Assembly Speaker Salleh Said Keruak called on secondary school principals to improve the quality of their management practices to facilitate the government’s move to transform the national education system.

Sabah State Assembly Speaker Salleh Said Keruak called on secondary school principals to improve the quality of their management practices to facilitate the government’s move to transform the national education system.

He expressed confidence that principals who have strong leadership qualities would play an important role in helping the government realise Vision 2020 and  bringing the national education system to world-class level.

Salleh said quality was an essential element in any field of management including that of schools.

“Quality principals will create effective schools and bring excellence to these schools,” he said in his speech at a dinner function in conjunction with the 35th Sabah Secondary School Principals Education Management Conference, last night.

He added that school principals could improve management quality by being considerate, compassionate, cooperative as well as forward thinking to foster good ties at all levels.
