Malaysia takes on Liverpool this evening, do we stand a chance?

It has been a while since the 2010/2011 English Premier League season wrapped up.

Football fans all over the world are looking forward to the next season which will kick off in the middle of August. Meanwhile, the teams are  now on their summer tour as a part of their pre-season training.

Liverpool FC took this chance to visit Malaysia for the first time. They will be playing the Malaysian national side later today.

Earlier in the Asian tour, Liverpool defeated Chinese club Guangdong Sunray Cave 4-3 with goals from Christian Poulssen, Andy Carroll, David N’gog, and youngster Conor Coady.

Although Liverpool will be without their star captain, Steven Gerrard, manager Kenny Dalglish is confident that his team will give a stunning performance in the match against Malaysia.

Other absent players include Luis Suarez and Lucas Leiva who are currently playing for their national teams in the Copa America.

Meanwhile, national team coach, K.Rajagopal wants Malaysia to take charge after their dreadful loss against Arsenal earlier this week.

This will be the final game for Rajagopal’s side before they take a trip to Singapore for the 2014 World Cup qualification match at Jalan Besar.
