CJMYInternationally known Malaysian comedian, Harith Iskander, has announced an event dubbed “the most important comedy show of 2022,” in light of all the political seriousness that has been going around this election season.
The show titled ‘RELAZZ LAH MALAYSIA,’ will take place on November 26th, 2022 at ZEPP Kuala Lumpur.
While stand up comedy has controversially been in the headlines recently with questions being raised about what we can or can’t joke about, Harith and his friends are here to remind everyone that it is OK to laugh again!
Malaysia as a nation is still in its recovery stage, both economically and socially, following the COVID-19 pandemic. With the 15th General Election approaching, Malaysians could use a good few hours of laugh.
“Malaysians have the most amazing sense of humour and we are the first to laugh at ourselves! Anyone who comes to the show will recognise that there is no better way to deal with the absurdity that is life, than with a good laugh!” Harith said.
RELAZZ LAH MALAYSIA will cover political, social, economic, and other topics that the comedians find interesting. The show’s goal is to lift everyone’s spirits by allowing them to let go of any pent-up stress or worries in their lives.
Given the significance of the event, it is only fitting that it takes place at the newly opened ZEPP KL. The 6,500 sq ft event space which is a part of Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), promises only the best facilities and even better live event experiences. It is the10th hall brought by Zepp Hall Network, with others in countries like Japan, Taiwan and New Taipei.
Prakash Daniel, Mad Sabah, and Brian Tan are among the local comedians who will perform alongside Harith during the show. Prakash Daniel has previously performed at Crackhouse Comedy Club KL, TimeOut KL Comedy Thursday, and Comedy Kao Kao, while Mad Sabah has appeared on Komediri, Maharaja Lawak Mega, Lawak Solo, and Konsert Hausboom 2022, among other shows.
Brian Tan who will join the rest on stage has performed at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2015. The show will also feature a surprise guest comedian whose identity will only be revealed on the day of the show.
