Belly dancers gearing up for Miss Belly Dance 2019

KUALA LUMPUR – International and local belly dancers are gearing up for the Miss Belly Dance 2019

International and local belly dancers are gearing up and will make their way to HELP College of Arts & Technology in Fraser Business Park, Kuala Lumpur for the Miss Belly Dance 2019 competition on May 25 – 26, 2019.

Dances are split into several categories for groups and soloists of different ages. This year there is a new category for Senior Solo aged 48 and above. There will be an overall contest winner for each category.

Organiser Brancy Teo said the competition and gala show will be held on 25th May while the belly dance workshops to learn belly dance techniques, style and practices will be on 26th May.

The audience can vote for their favourite dancer and a trophy will be awarded to the dancer with the highest number of votes received.

Costume designer Kitti Szunomar from Hungary will be selling both kids and adult belly dance costumes during the competition day on 25th May.

Among the dancers who will be performing at the gala show include Sora June and Lee Ji Eun from South Korea, Yvonne Yang from Taiwan, Juliet Setiawan from Indonesia, Bee Yen, Stella Lee, former winner of Miss Belly Dance 2016 Karyn Chan, Ang Mee Mee and Zoe Liting from Penang, mother and daughter team of Xuannie Lim and Hyu Tan, Stella Lee and male dancer Hilton Li Jun.

Ticket for Gala Show and Competition is RM50 for the whole day and can be purchased at the counter on the competition day.
