Pressto brings joy to children at Kiwanis Klang

Pressto, the dry cleaning company brought joy and happiness to children with Down syndrome in Kiwanis Klang by presenting them with soft toys donated by the public.

The Pressto Asia (Malaysia) team led by CEO Phyllis Lai Nyok Pek was joined by several beauty queens from Shine From Within organisation and Kiwanis members in distributing the toys to the children.

“We are so excited to share this happy moment spending meaningful time and spreading happiness to these young children. We hope they love the soft toys,” said Phyllis.

The visit to Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation Klang Centre was part of the initiative of the pre-loved soft toys donation drive campaign in partnership with Kiwanis Klang for six months which began on April 2018 and will end on 31 October.

“Thankfully the public donation of soft toys was large enough that every child walked away with at least one soft toy each at the end of the day,” said Phyllis.

Also present were Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation of Klang president Amanda Russell and Mrs World 2016 Top 12 finalist and campaign ambassador June Yap.

The get-together, organised by Kiwanis Parent Support Group, brought together friends, teachers, parents, Kiwanis members, Down syndrome children, and past students, Pressto Asia and beauty queens over a sumptuous spread of local delights and activities.

There were big cheers for the children who gave a short and sweet performance to their guests and every child was given a token.

The Best Dress awards were given to the children, and even to their parents, who were dressed beautifully in traditional outfits.

Since April 2018, Pressto Asia have been frequently collecting many soft toys donated by the public. They currently have 19 outlets in the Klang Valley making it convenient for anyone to easily drop off their soft toys at the nearest outlet. Pressto Asia will professionally clean the donated soft toys before being distributed to the children at Kiwanis Klang.

Pressto Asia is still collecting pre-loved soft toys until 31 October 2018.
