CJMYA lorry driver was killed after a log fell on him while he was unloading at work. The incident happened at Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, yesterday.
The Ayer Hitam Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 9.19am and immediately rushed to the scene. However the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival and the body had been removed by the workers.
According to operation commander Shalneeraj Abdulah, the driver, Noradi Wahasi, 48, was untying the chain holding the logs when one of them slid down and crushed him death.
