Eighteen names made it into the list for the Millennium World Awards for various outstanding achievements.
A veteran politician, an academician, an international actor and a celebrity chef were among recipients, recognised for their outstanding work at the awards night.
Organised by Millennium World Award founder Dato Reiss Tiara in collaboration with Lions Club of Putrajaya Royale, the Millennium World Award is into its inaugural edition with the award ceremony and gala dinner took place at Ruyi & Lyn, Bangsar Shopping Center, Kuala Lumpur on January 17.
“The award is specially created to recognise excellence and achievements by outstanding successful men and women across the landscape in various industries from around the world.
“Millennium World award is a world brand. These individuals are recognised for their outstanding achievements and who have also made a significant impact and positive contribution to the society, community and in their own fields. They are all winners and champions and heroes in their own achievements,” said Reiss.
She said the awards night celebrates the excellence and achievement of world personalities who reached their pinnacles, and to inspire and motivate others to reach out for their dreams.
Emotions ran high as the recipients went on stage for their award acceptance visibly flushed with excitement.
All Millennium World award winners earned a prestigious award to their names, comprising a trophy and a certificate. In addition, for some winners selected at discretion of sponsor, they received a TVA FYRA Swedish luxury watch.
YM Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi, Member of the Royal Family of Selangor graced the event as Guest of Honour.
The night also appointed Dato Reiss Tiara as Honorary Lion for Lions Club of Putrajaya Royale for her contribution in raising charity funds for Lions Clubs.
