Johor MB pledges RM300,000 to Chinese federation

Johor Mentri Besar, Abdul Ghani Othman, pledged RM300,000 to the Johor Federation of Chinese Temples during a Chinese New Year dinner jointly organised by the federation and KRT Taman Melor on Wednesday night.

Ghani pledged the amount upon learning that the federation needs funding to setup an activity centre.

“Consider this as an ‘Hong Bao’ from the state government to the federation,” said Ghani who stressed that the country thrived because of the various cultures, traditions and beliefs and the state government would support diversity in any way it could.
