Singapore to host Valorant league with prize pool of $10,000

The Gym Singapore Invitational (GSI), Singapore’s first Valorant 5v5 league will take place from Oct 3-Nov 1 this year.

It will feature four Valorant teams from Singapore; Team SMG, Resurgence, Paper Rex and Reality Rift all set to play for a prize pool of $10,000. The competition will be in a round-robin format before the top two teams battle it out in the grand final.

It is hosted by e-sports co-sharing space and production house The Gym which had previously helped to create the eSPL, the Singapore Premier League’s football video game tournament.

The tournament is backed by Riot Games South-east Asia, Logitech, Omnidesk, Secretlab and Aftershock. Valorant, a tactical shooter game, was launched by Riot Games in June.
