The Miss & Mrs Curvy International organisation has unveiled the 24 finalists who will compete in this year’s 3rd edition of the beauty pageant for plus-size women.

The official sashing ceremony was held at Pearl International Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 4th October, and attended by a host of VIPs, celebrities and beauty queens, sponsors and partners, invited guests and members of the media.

The 24 plus-size contestants aged between 21 and 47 will be vying for two titles – ‘Miss Curvy International 2020’ and ‘Mrs Curvy International 2020’ at the grand finals on January 9, 2021.

Miss & Mrs Curvy International founder and pageant director Muraalie Kannan said the pageant was organised to create a unique and special cause platform to promote awareness and to empower women to overcome stereotypes and break barriers.

Muraalie Kannan is the CEO of MK Asia Production Entertainment which organised the pageant. He said the 24 finalists have been selected from 64 participants by a panel of judges through auditions conducted at Regal Park Hotel, Kuala Lumpur in September.

The finalists will receive specially designed training program to hone them for the grand finale.

Prize packages worth over RM46,000 including cash and sponsored items for the top 5 winners will be up for grabs.
