Gana PrakashA student from Malaysia recently took to twitter to thank health workers who had planned a surprise birthday celebration for her despite their busy schedule.
Nur Fakhira Aman thought she was going to celebrate her 23rd birthday alone, as she was under quarantine after coming in contact with a Covid-19 patient.
During an online meeting, her university’s deputy chancellor had asked his students how they are doing physically and mentally during this pandemic.
Fakhira told him that she was little sad that she will be spending her birthday on October 15 alone quarantined in a room.
Her days in quarantine went on as usual as she was clueless about the surprise birthday celebration that was being planned for her.
“During lunchtime, the frontliners knocked on doors to pass out food as usual and they asked if this was Fakhira Amani’s room. I said yes and they immediately started singing the birthday song and handed me a piece of cake,” she wrote in her tweet.

A video of the medical frontliners singing to her in their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was shared in a tweet which has been retweeted more than 10,000 times as of today.
Fakhira said that she nearly teared up as she was touched by their kind gesture to cheer her up even during their busy schedule.
Malaysian frontliners are currently working around the clock to contain a third wave of infections which has brought the total number of positive cases in the country to 31,548.
