Digital payment platform Instapay recently announced it’s partnership with global identity verification company Onfido, to help onboard customers into their e-wallet product via a seamless process.
Through this partnership, customers will now able to sign up by simply uploading a selfie and photo of their government-issued identity document (ID) to Onfido’s AI-powered ID verification service. This enables users to complete the entire onboarding process digitally, in just a few clicks.
“We bring trust to digital interactions worldwide, and we’re very happy to be supporting Instapay’s vision of bridging the gap of banking needs and providing financial inclusion to workers.” said Husayn Kassai, Co-Founder at Onfido
The company uses AI to verify any photo ID and then compares it with the person’s facial biometrics. This use of AI means that businesses no longer need to compromise on customer experience, conversion, privacy or security.
Onfido is backed by TPG Growth, Crane Venture Partners, Salesforce Ventures, M12 – Microsoft’s venture fund, and others. With approximately 400 team members spread across seven countries, Onfido has raised $200m in funding and powers digital access for some of the world’s largest companies.
“Many of our customers work long shifts, and in remote locations. We want to give them the ability to complete their documentation process at their convenience and with minimum friction”, Rajnish Kumar, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Instapay said.
“We have partnered with Onfido, based on their proven track record of accurate identity verification and strong privacy policy. With this partnership, we are confident that our customers will enjoy a smoother and faster onboarding experience.” Rajnish added
