NCT Platinum Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of NCT Group, saw all 149 units of the newly launched Ion Belian Garden white knight development project located in Batang Kali, Selangor sold out within five minutes of launch.

Previously known as the Genting Valley project comprising 665 bungalow plots over five phases, it was abandoned for almost 17 years by the initial developer.

Given NCT’s extensive track record in the rehabilitation segment coupled with its vast experience in the property arena, NCT Group was tasked with reviving the development to give the 200 buyers a second chance.

It marked as NCT’s third large scale revival project, previously having completed the abandoned housing development project at Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi and the largest abandoned project in Pahang known as the Genting Highlands Billion Court.

NCT Group managing director Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy said the company’s appointment to revive the 105 acres of prime land demonstrated its strength and prowess in the field, particularly with its experience in recovering some of the largest abandoned projects in Malaysia.

Yap said the strategic location and affordable price point in addition to easy access to tourist destinations such as Genting Premium Outlet and Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park were among the key attractions for home-buyers.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari who lauded NCT’s effort in transforming the abandoned project into a purposeful development.

“Beyond contributing to the growth of the state, Ion Belian Garden adds a fresh look to Batang Kali while promoting a conducive neighbourhood.
