Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MBSJ) has issued ten compounds to ten errant food outlets around USJ Taipan for flouting the council guidelines on food handling.
56 food outlets has been inspected during the “Operasi Bersepadu Pemeriksaan Premis Makanan” late last week.
MBSJ’s Corporate and Strategic Management Deputy Director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said that among the offences identified during the operation are workers without immunisation and hygiene issues.
He also added that the action was taken under the UUK 9(f) Undang-Undang Kecil Pengendali Makanan (MBSJ) dan Seksyen 15 Undang-Undang Kecil Pelesenan Establisymen Makanan (MPSJ) 2007.
Once found guilty, the establishment proprietors can be fined up to RM1000.00.
He also stressed that the surveillance and enforcement against errant establishments will be continued to ensure public health safety.
The operation was conducted by MBSJ’s Department of Health, Department of Enforcement, Department of Licensing and the Department of Environmental Management.
