Much awaited "Women on Top" book is out

The much anticipated “Women on Top” book which features real life experiences and stories by 15 female Technopreneurs was launched yesterday.

The Technopreneurs Association of Malaysia (TeAM) successfully launched “Women on Top” book – the much anticipated sequel to “Go for Broke” book, yesterday at Berjaya Times Square Hotel.

The launch of the book which took place at the Manhattan 1 ballroom features real-life experiences and stories by 15 female Technopreneurs.

This event was held in conjunction with the Women Netpreneur Conference 2010 and is a collaborative effort between TeAM, Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) , Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd and Malaysian Venture Capital Berhad (MAVCAP).

“As a female leader tasked to drive ICT transformation in the country, I am proud that such program is put into place to champion the female cause in this field,” said Ng Wan Peng, MDeC’s COO after officiating the launch.

The book features a diverse mix of female technopreneurs from technology-based business, ranging from bio-tech to software.

Some of the most notable names featured in this book include founder and former Executive Director of TMC Life Sciences Berhad Wenddi Anne Chong, COO of ACE listed Techno Dax Bhd Heng Ling Jy, MYAGRI Group Managing Director Hayati Taid and SKALI COO Maznida Mokhtar.

Women on Top: The Stories of 15 Women who blazed the Trail of Technopreneurship is also available at MPH Bookstores for RM 20 each. Copies of the book can also be purchased from the TeAM office.
