Selangor Aviation Show will kick start the 2022 business aviation show edition on September 8 at SkyPark RAC Subang.
The three-day SAS2022 was officiated by Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj yesterday.
Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Bin Tengku Abdul Aziz and Selangor State Executive Councilor Industry & Trade Dato’ Teng Chang Khim attended the launch ceremony.
SAS2022 will provide an invaluable opportunity for high-level networking and market penetration prospects with aviation industry players in Malaysia and potentially in the region.
The trade show aims to draw at least 8,000 visitors with at least 70 booths from local and international companies.
SAS2022 will also display 30 static aircraft and helicopters, including luxury private jets, on the tarmac within the Skypark RAC area.
Selangor Menteri Besar said Selangor remained the location of choice and added that from 2020 to date, there had been a significant increase in aerospace and aviation companies present in the state.
He also said that he believed SAS 2022 would play a pivotal role in bridging the industry players with potential investors and partners domestically and globally.
According to Dato’ Hasan Azhari, CEO of Invest Selangor, several activities will take place to ensure the event will benefit all stakeholders.
“Apart from the exposition and static displays, there will also be business networking sessions for the participating exhibitors with potential trade visitors and partners, product presentation sessions, seminars, and training and career path sessions with the aviation tertiary students.
“Networking reception is also planned to maximise the exhibitor’s participation, including a session with potential business aviation clientele or charter flight passengers.”
Meanwhile, Teng said SAS2022 will offer a regional perspective of the industry and will be participated by global industry players.
“This year, SAS2022 confirms the participation of Sapura Aero, Destini Avia Technique, Epic Aero, DJI Academy, Superb Access, BCS Aviation, Bibus Metals, Sirim and International Aero Training Academy.
“We are talking to many more OEMs, and we hope to have many more this year, such as Dassault Aviation with the Falcon Business jet and others,” he added.
Aviation-related associations will also participate and educate the visitors on their areas of expertise through planned technical and industry talk sessions and forums during the three days event.
AsBAA (Malaysian Chapter) will oversee the Safety Day program onsite, whereas WiAA is looking at aviation career talks for future aviators.
