Air quality recorded in five area were registered as moderate with the other areas throughout the country recorded good air quality, yesterday.
Pasir Gudang and Muar recorded an Air Pollutant Index (API) of 59 and 56, Sri Aman recorded an API of 18 with USM Penang, Kemaman, Bukit Rambai, Kuala Selangor and Putrajaya registering API in between of 40 and 20.
The API readings are classified as follows: good (0-50), moderate (51-100), unhealthy (101-200), 201-300 (very unhealthy), and hazardous (300 and above).
